Pergola CODE: a ray of style and innovation

Brand identity, book design, brochure, video, ADV campaign

BT Group is a brand that has produced awnings and outdoor pergolas since 1954, born in Lesmo (Monza province).

With Propaganda3’s support, the company developed a communication plan to promote Pergola CODE, its innovative aluminum-slat system—winner at the Awards del Serramento 2023, nominated at the Assolombarda Awards in the Design category, and recipient of the “Special Prize – Design” and “Silver Award – Outdoor” at the R+T Innovation Awards 2024 in Stuttgart.

When BT Group first approached us, Pergola CODE was still just an idea. Together, we shaped its brand identity and conveyed its uniqueness across multiple channels, producing two bilingual brochures, a promotional video, and several ADV campaigns published in national and international media.

The soul of CODE in a book-brochure

In 2025, the “CODE book” was born—our latest creation for architect Ivo Pellegri’s Pergola project.

More than a brochure, it’s a visual journey through CODE’s architectural essence: every page tells of the harmony between solids and voids, the dance of light filtering through the slats, and the perfect integration with landscapes from countryside to sea, mountains to city.

The landscape format stands out among other catalogs, while the red spine catches the eye on any shelf like a beacon. The cover, in neutral textured stock, is elevated by a blind-deboss seal that physically imprints the brand’s identity.

Every design choice reflects CODE’s core: a pergola built around your needs and style—adaptable, like the very book that tells its story.

Bilingual brochure: the uniqueness of CODE design

Propaganda3 developed CODE’s brochure around a design language that blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors, spotlighting personalization and innovation.

The harmony of full and empty, innovative materials, and a contemporary yet timeless aesthetic are highlighted in a brochure that invites the product’s soul to express itself in full originality.

The closing pages bring the technical features to the fore—customization options and installation scenarios—rendered through 3D visuals and illustrative diagrams.

Promotional video: let there be light

The video we produced for CODE weaves multiple visual elements into at least four chapters—just like the initials of the acronym CODE (Custom Outdoor Design Experience).

It showcases the journey from concept to award-winning product: from design phases with architects at work to sequences that analyze CODE’s details—its design, functionality, and uses.

From storyboard to kinetic type and motion design techniques, Propaganda3 conceived and produced the video’s entire evolution—alongside the evolution of the product it portrays.

ADV campaign: CODE in the spotlight

“Your time, without spatial limits” captures Pergola CODE’s essence in seven words.

When architect Ivo Pellegri, the project’s creator, asked us to help bring his freshly formed idea to life, everything could be distilled into one keyword: balance.

In this ADV campaign—run across multiple design publications—CODE appears suspended between space and time, striking a perfect balance that makes the pergola feel like an integral part of its natural setting.
